BAE Systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer with a passion for engineering and the desire to be part of an innovative, dedicated team responsible for supporting industry-leading navigation products. In our Navigation & Sensor Solutions Hardware Engineering department, you will become part of a Component & Material Engineering Team supporting all Military GPS Products. In this role, you will: Be responsible for creating and maintaining component specifications. Work with a variety of components and materials used in GPS Products. Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers, Purchasing, Quality & Program Managers to resolve component issues in regard to obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages & failures. Perform BOM Analysis on new designs. Provide technical support in the resolution of complex commodity issues in the design and manufacturing environment. Create and update documentation needed to support Program requirements. Who you are: You possess good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills (Customers, Peers, Management and Suppliers) You're willing to put in the time and effort it takes to get the job done. You are always looking for ways to do things better and faster. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Must have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 2+ years of direct related experience Knowledge of components, materials or processes used in the Electronics Industry Excellent communication skills Ability to work on a cross-functional team US CitizenPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Candidates with Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Past experience as a Component or Application Engineer Experience with creating part specifications Experience evaluating impacts from Part Change Notifications Familiar with industry standards (IPC, ASTM, JEDEC) Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $66700 - $113400Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
