Our frames have appeared in publications from GQ to VOGUE and on celebrities such as Beyonce, Gigi Hadid, Meghan Markle, Carrie Underwood, Hailey Bieber, Zayne Malik, Scott Disick, Adam Huber, among others. As the business grows, we are seeking a smart, creative, and skilled individual to join our talented team! Key attributes and qualities we are looking for in candidates for all open roles: entrepreneurial spirit, innovative and solution-oriented, adaptable and resilient, best-practices methodology, team-oriented with a lean-in attitude, highest standards for execution, and a high level of accountability. The Product Designer will focus on product design, developing products from concept stage through production, with responsibility for research, drawings, fit, material, and prototype review. The role will report directly to the VP of Product and is based in our New Orleans headquarters. Responsibilities: Conceptualize and mock up new product (including eyewear, packaging, display pieces, and non-eyewear items) and optimize existing product in line with design vision and business needs and in collaboration with the Creative Director. Use knowledge of design to fine-tune design supplied from the Creative Director, maintaining quality and brand integrity. Develop and inform new color selections. Draft and submit all sample and production orders post alignment with Creative Director to overseas team and manufacturers. Advance and formalize the collection styling management process. Review eyewear samples and finished goods to ensure all technical specifications, fit and KREWE brand standards are met. Deliver feedback and comments/approval to overseas manufacturers post alignment with Creative Director. Build seasonal tech packs with support of Design Studio Associate. Work directly with Design Studio Associate to receive and review T&A (time and action) calendar for product development. Advocate for product design from early stage concept illustration to sample and production; maintaining high level, daily communication with overseas manufacturers throughout the process. Deliver and revise technical drawings (CADs), ensuring specifications are met with accuracy, highlighting variances and changes required. Shepherd the CAD revisions to approval by Creative Director in accordance with the T&A dates. Manage design schedule, reporting status daily/weekly against progress to VP of Product. Conduct research on product construction, materials, and market regulations/needs to deliver and incorporate new designs and fits in the collection. Recommend new silhouettes and non-eyewear products based on cultural awareness, market/trend research, and sales data in partnership with VP of Product and Creative Director.
