Prince of Peace Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated First Grade Teacher who is committed to providing a high-quality, faith-based education. The ideal candidate will create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment that encourages spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth.Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional activities that facilitate active learning and reflect the Catholic faith.- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that meet established school and diocesan standards.- Create a positive, Christ-centered classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.- Integrate technology effectively into the classroom to enhance learning.- Observe and evaluate student performance and development, providing feedback and guidance.- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.- Uphold the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church in both curriculum and daily interactions.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.- Valid teaching credential/certification for the appropriate grade level.- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, with a commitment to ongoing personal faith development.- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic school setting.- Strong classroom management skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.- Proficiency with educational technology and its application in the classroom.Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in Education or related field.- Additional certification in Reading.- Experience with integrating Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum.- Familiarity with current best practices in elementary education.About the Prince of Peace Catholic SchoolWe are the primary apostolate of Prince of Peace Parish, collaborating with families to offer children a rigorous curriculum that promotes intellectual formation and virtue development, immersed in the teachings of the Catholic faith.
