The ideal candidate should have a strong background in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and related technology transactions, particularly within the life sciences arena.Duties:Draft and negotiate intellectual property licenses, including patent and trademark licenses.Collaborate on joint development, collaboration, and other strategic alliance agreements.Draft and negotiate technology licenses and services agreements, including software as a service agreement.Negotiate distribution agreements.Perform intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions and technology transfers.Provide IP support in corporate transactions in the life sciences sector.Conduct legal research and analysis on licensing and technology transfer matters.Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and team members.Requirements:3-6 years of relevant legal experience.Proven experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and technology transactions.Strong background in IP support for corporate transactions, particularly in the life sciences industry.Outstanding academic credentials.Comparable experience in a law firm setting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active California Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Drafting and negotiation of licensing agreements.Due diligence for technology transactions.Communication and collaboration.Intellectual property law knowledge.Life sciences industry expertise.
