Accounting Manager

Essential Functions : Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to intercompany transactions, fixed assets, general ledger, taxes, and treasury reporting Assist with the development of staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships Assist with year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end Backfill other accounting roles duties/responsibilities when necessary Handle the company's banking transactions and debts payments Competencies, Education, and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of successful experience in public or corporate accounting performing most of the above duties. Excellent knowledge and experience in accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.) Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and experience with advanced accounting ERP systems and accounting software (e.g. Produce Pro) Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations Well-organized with ability to prioritize Very good communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Understanding of data analysis and forecasting Physical Demands: Stand or sit for long periods of time Travel by auto or by flying commercial or privately as required.
