American Water is looking for a part:time Community Relations Intern If you love to talk to new people and be out in the community, then this role is for YOU Primary Role We are looking for an outgoing and personable individual to join the New Jersey's External Affairs team as a Community Outreach and Education intern. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a communication and/or related major and have an affinity for engaging with the public. This role will represent New Jersey American Water at community events and will report directly to both the Sr. Manager of Government and External Affairs and the External Affairs Specialist. Key Accountabilities:Coordinate activities for events to include working with vendors, community partners, and employees.:Represent New Jersey American Water by tabling at community events with educational information and public engagement activities. Materials to include information on water quality reports/expertise, lead service line replacement program, wise water use/conservation tips, and bill paying assistance programs, among other topics, as well as Business Development information in communities with active referendum campaigns this summer.:Make educational presentations to small and large groups within the communities we serve (schools, camps, community organizations, etc.).:Provide photography and written content from event appearances for customer facing outlets (social media, newsletters, etc.).:Giveaways/inventory tracking and event organization to support community event appearances.
