Position Description Deque is hiring an Accessibility Developer Consultant to work with the Deque Developer Services team to guide web developers to solve accessibility problems. The ideal candidate comes from a front-end developer background, with strong experience in accessibility and the ability to explain complex topics in a way that is easy to understand. Primary Responsibilities Provide detailed guidance and lead discussions with client developers to solve accessibility problems Troubleshoot complex accessibility problems Develop in client teams to build accessible solutions in client code Perform accessibility assessments, validate fixes, write VPATs Develop custom solutions and reports for client needs in Deque products Develop automation solutions and internal tools for Deque Accessibility Consultants Requirements Deep knowledge of frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and experience using frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular Experience with accessibility evaluation tools and techniques Knowledge of assistive technologies and user requirements for people with disabilities Deep knowledge of WAI-ARIA, WCAG Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
