This position entails:Job Overview:The Associate Attorney will provide expert legal analysis, handle a high-volume caseload, and negotiate resolutions. They will also represent clients in court proceedings and collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney.Duties:Treat all customers with fairness and respect, offering tailored payment solutions.Conduct thorough legal research and produce high-quality written documents.Communicate effectively orally, including negotiations with opposing counsel.Manage a high volume of caseloads, providing expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks.Travel to various courts within Virginia as required for legal proceedings and hearings.Report all activity and results to the Managing Attorney.Requirements:0-2 years of experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation.Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in Virginia.It is advantageous to obtain additional licenses to practice law in NC, SC, TN, FL, GA, MD, MI, and OH.In-depth knowledge of Federal Debt Collection Law and State civil litigation laws.Ability to analyze case law and provide strategic recommendations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Exemplary oral and written communication skills.Outstanding time management skills.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in Virginia.Skills:Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral communication.Negotiation skills.Familiarity with Federal Debt Collection Law and State civil litigation laws.Analytical thinking.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Time management.
