FOOD SERVICE / KITCHEN MANAGER - LINCOLN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL Summary: Responsible for leading all food service personnel in the school cafeteria in order to serve students an attractive & nutritious meal in coordination, creating a warm, caring, & friendly environment for staff, students, family, & community members. Full-time (8 hrs), 9-month position Start at $18.92/hr High School diploma or its equivalent Ability to use weights & measures to adjust ingredients in recipes Ability to assist in developing & testing recipes Ability to train & orient new food service personnel Ability to work closely with the Food Service Supervisor & kitchen staff Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment & how they are used. Extensive knowledge of kitchen safety & sanitation. Effective, professional oral & written communication skills Ability to take direction from others Self-directed with ability to prioritize tasks & manage multiple projects simultaneously so tasks are completed in a reasonable manner Prior baking experience is preferred but not required Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, stand & walk for long periods of time, bend, push and/or pull.
