What you’ll be doing As the Associate Director, IT Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT service delivery for our US site-based users in (New York City and San Francisco), international global offices as well as remote users. This will include general desktop support and enterprise applications management. You will be the lead for third-party resources ensuring exceptional support to all users. Additionally, this leadership role will manage the delivery of IT solutions by collaborating with stakeholders, managed service providers, and 3rd party vendors to meet IT goals. Though broad technical expertise is required, this position plays a critical role in being able to bridge the technical-to-business gap by articulating highly technical concepts in business terms. You will be responsible for… Plan and build IT Global Service Desk support model to support US, international, and remote users. Manage a hybrid IT service desk team (comprised of yourself and external service providers), ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and excellent customer service for end users. Regularly assess the general computing needs of office and remote users, identifying opportunities for process and technical improvements. Establishing performance metrics to measure IT Service Desk effectiveness and productivity. Partner with Business team members on management of business specific software packages (eg. SAS) Provide first call support for VIP users and site issues to include Applications, network, and A/V functions. Building, managing, and documenting onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and contractors. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations. In cooperation with managed service partners and IT leadership, support on-premise and Cloud IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications, as needed to ensure uptime and security. Management of software, infrastructure, and PC-related cost estimates, budgets, and schedules. Participates in IT strategy planning activities and future vision of services and operations technology. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the biotech industry and make recommendations for innovative solutions to enhance our IT capabilities. Manage mobile device management solutions for field force. Assist in IT integration and migration activities as needed. What Knowledge & Experience you'll bring to us... Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience in IT Operations Management preferably in the, biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Note: an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Solid understanding of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management. Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of IT professionals. Demonstrated ability to oversee local software lifecycle management, as well as identity management for a small to mid-size company. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, with experience implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information. Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines. Ability to work with C+ suite level executives in a prompt and professional manner Behavioral skills to be successful...
