Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Staff Electronics Engineer - Vehicle Management System to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation (T&E) organization. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK. The selected candidate will join our team as a Vehicle Management System (VMS) Electronics Engineer supporting our System Test team. The T&E Team is responsible for completing verification of system level hardware and software capabilities developed and integrated for a classified program. In a laboratory environment, the system test engineer synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. The engineer develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems. The selected engineer will be responsible for Level III system verification efforts. The selected candidate will utilize their understanding of system test to create test procedures based on Level III requirements, develop an expert understanding of your assigned subsystem, and utilize test infrastructure to dry run and execute system level verification. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. This position will require overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work on occasion. Additionally, the nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working full time in a classified development environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) A minimum of 14 years of applicable experience with a BS Degree, 12 years with a MS degree in STEM Field, or 9 years with a PhD in STEM Field Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 communication protocol Experience in data analysis Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs Preferred Qualifications: Currently active on a Combined Test Force (CTF) contractor/customer team. Experience with VMS Minimum of 4 years' experience in T&E Knowledgeable in Air Force life cycle sustainment processes Knowledgeable in IFC development processes Knowledgeable in Agile SW development methodology Active DoD Top Secret clearance Active Special Program Access (SAP) Mental and Physical Qualifications: Ability to make decisions that impact the organization's credibility, operations and services Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously Able to analyze functional, structural or compositional characteristics Ability to apply and/or develop technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours Ability to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel) Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions Salary Range: $135,000 - $202,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
