POSITION SUMMARYThe primary responsibility of this position is to perform material control functions in all seven (7) of the seven (7) following functional areas: stockroom, customer-owned shipping, robot technical support, cycle count, customer returns, receiving, general shipping MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 1-3 years prior experience in related field. High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read, understands, and applies the information contained in written procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). Has knowledge of and is able to perform all jobs within area. 1-3 years' experience with all in-house applications (Excel) SAP experience preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Driving: It is not expected that this role will require driving as part of this job. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Exceptional organization skills. Large amounts of material are processed and need to be handled in a manner that maintains lot tractability and process deviation history. Ability to produce high quality work in a fast paced work environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.) Monitors and reports on defects and abnormalities in quality and delivery. Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments. Developing expertise in material control. Strong knowledge in three (3) areas of specialization. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Participates in daily 6S activities. Follows SOP's and other standards. Aware of practices and processes utilizing current management tools. In compliance with established procedures, the position requires the completion of all tracking, inventory, processing, and safety documentation. Resolves any discrepancies with lead. Takes appropriate actions to address any defects. Must wear appropriate PPE in all areas. Data entry related tasks. Records areas of material waste and other activities that add costs to operations and shares that information with department managers. Incompliance with established procedures, the position requires the completion of all tracking, inventory, and processing and safety documentation. Risk Management Statement: Aware of practices and processes utilizing current management tools. Functional Area: Stockroom Support manufacturing, Service, Planning, Logistics and Engineering with material requests. Responsible for accurately receiving, labeling, and putting away incoming materials using the FIFO logic. Performs necessary SAP transactions to accurately record material receipts and transfers. Order picking-responsible for collecting customer cards, finding the appropriate products, and delivering the materials to the appropriate department always following FIFO (First-in-First-Out) logic. Expedites delivery of critical items to the operations floor. Works with stockroom lead to resolve inventory discrepancies. Functional Area: Customer Owned Shipping Ability to successfully navigate the proprietary systems involved with shipping customer owned scopes (FedEx, UPS, DHL & SAP) Drives problem resolution with Distribution Centers on documentation discrepancies Monitor and resolve any outstanding articles waiting for approval with Distribution Centers Functional Area: Robot Technical Support Supporting the technology advances implemented in the materials group. Includes, but not limited to troubleshooting autonomous delivery bots, training to support current and future automation technologies, understanding robotic field of vision/mapping Ensure proper timing of technology for delivery, picking and pick-up to manufacturing Resolving issues with automation to maintain business continuity Functional Area: Cycle Count Able to run and perform cycle counts including reporting. Able to work collaboratively with production areas to determine root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies. Work closely with Lead to resolve inventory discrepancies. Functional Area: Customer Returns Builds boxes and small kit assemblies as needed. Receive and unpack product requiring repair daily. Count and match all accessories to paperwork. Wipe down all electromechanical products per procedure. Resolve repair order discrepancies with evaluation team. Sort all packaging materials and recycle as appropriate. Open SAP service orders for all customer repairs. Logging of questionable returns into the share point/first line system. Follow up of outstanding items. Functional Area: Receiving Unload trucks, confirm box count and signs transportation paperwork for all incoming materials. Inspects incoming packages for shipment damage and refuses receipt of those with damage. Unpacks materials, verifies count, matches with supplier Kanban cards, receives into SAP system, and labels product as appropriate. Sorts and delivers received product to appropriate location (stock room, incoming inspection, chemical storage, IT storage, requisitioner etc.). Resolves any receiving discrepancies with purchasing and accounts payable teams. Functional Area: General Shipping Replenish packaging materials to pack out work cell from central storage. Transport finished product to shipping per agreed upon schedule. Prepare and ship new and repaired finished products daily as goods arrive in the shipping area capturing all relevant information in SAP. Package and ship electromechanical loaner, repaired and NSW product. Ensure proper shipment documentation is provided with each shipment. Prepare and maintain file of all customs and shipment carrier paperwork. Provide timely shipment and tracking information to management upon request. Package and ship return to vendor materials and other miscellaneous shipments as required. Resolves any shipping discrepancies with accounting Takes appropriate actions to address any defects. Must be willing to report actual and potential environmental and safety violations to appropriate supervisory and/or management personnel. The incumbent in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to environmental policies and company procedures as they relate to ISO 14001. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety of himself/herself or others. Responsible for informing the Company if he/she is taking medications or if there are any other circumstances that would interfere with safe performance of job duties. The individual is explicitly responsible to read, understand, and follow all MSDSs and procedures. QUALITY The incumbent in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures as they relate to the requirements of FDA Quality System Regulation, ISE 13485 and ISO 9001 (current revisions). INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS Must be able to maintain productive working relationships with coworkers. Must treat fellow employees with respect. A high degree of written and verbal skill is required to conduct daily department responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal skills.
