The Rivershed Society of BC (Rivershed) is looking for three enthusiastic summer staff to join our Regional Engagement Team in the Upper, Mid, and Lower Fraser regions. The Regional Assistant will support Riveshed’s programing and outreach, including preparing for and attending in-person events. This position will work ~75% from a home office and ~25% in-person, requiring some evening and weekend work. The ideal candidate is passionate about Watershed CPR (Connect. Protect. Restore. ), has strong communication skills and is confident working in a position that engages with the public. You are detail-oriented with the ability to adapt and think creatively when appropriate. Rivershed is a remote team that is located throughout, and outside, the Fraser Watershed. The candidate is required to have an appropriate home office set up and be comfortable working with virtual supervision. Rivershed provides a supportive and healthy work environment which includes working from home with flexible hours, virtual team building, and decolonization/anti-racism learning sessions. Duties include: Support connecting with community groups, NGOs, institutions, and other collaborators to further Rivershed’s mission and goals. Represent Rivershed at events as required. Work with the engagement team to keep contact database up to date and effective. Draft and/or review documents related to Rivershed programs and events. Support coordination and development of on-site programs and activities, working with the team to ensure all components relevant to programs and events are planned, delivered and evaluated. Provide content to ensure external communications for programs and events are accurate, accessible, and delivered in a timely manner. Participate in staff and team meetings as required. Participate in ongoing decolonization and reconciliation discussions. Assist in writing and preparing grants, progress reports, presentations, and other documents as needed...
