A global Law Firm is currently looking for a Solutions Architect to join the team in Manchester. Along with a salary of up to GBP 65,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including a bonus scheme, life assurance, income protection, the option to buy/sell holiday, a season ticket loan, dental care, medical insurance, and many more You will be joining a team who are responsible for both setting the direction of investment in technology and the delivery of new IT solutions to support the firm's overall business strategy. The Solutions Architect role is split into two main areas of responsibilities: Technical Design and Delivery of Projects: : Working alongside Business Analysts to create and document appropriate technical functional and non: functional requirements. : Designing and leading the implementation across business applications or technologies. : Documenting all solution design and analysis work, through the creation of Solution Architecture Reports (SARs). : Identifying the organisational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures, or culture) and financial impact of any suggested technical designs. : Participating in all subsequent delivery phases to ensure that the design is implemented, documented and is workable to the agreed set of requirements. : Providing consulting support to IT teams (e. g. Project Engineering) on projects to ensure technical solutions are aligned to firms technical standards and the principles. Defining Future Technology Strategy: : Monitoring the current: state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies (for e. g. through aging of the technologies) or misalignment with business requirements. : Designing and building data models to fulfil the strategic data needs of the business and in compliance with the firm's data policies. : Analysing the technology industry, competitors, and market trends to determine opportunities for the Firm. : Working with colleagues across the IT department.
