The division administers the following programs: Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning, General Educational Development, Recognition of Prior Learning & Labour Mobility. About Our Opportunity Reporting directly to the Manager, Curriculum Development, the Adult Education Coordinator (AEC) is responsible for the coordination and administration of Nova Scotia School for Adult Learning (NSSAL) programs and services in the Cape Breton Region of Nova Scotia. The position is located in the Labour, Skills & Immigration office in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Travel within the region and outside the region, as required, is essential. The AEC works with a teamwork approach in all activities within the Division and with other Divisions and Departments. The AEC will also administer, coordinate, and lead the Metro Regional Planning Team which consists of NSSAL service providers and other stakeholders. As an integral member of the Division, the AEC will support the development of policies, provide analysis, strategic advice and make recommendations to management to ensure effective program delivery, office operations and service to the public. Primary Accountabilities Administers, coordinates, and leads the Cape Breton Regional Planning Team meeting which consists of NSSAL service providers and other organizations and stakeholders who work with clients who may benefit from adult learning programs.
